Peterhof. The Revival

Autumn Fountain Festival “Peterhof. Rebirth”

I contributed to the visual concept for a large-scale 3D mapping show dedicated to Peterhof’s postwar restoration.

I was initially invited as an art director, but during production I had to align my authorial vision with a strict technical brief and rigid expectations about workflow, which conflicted with my creative approach.

This is a familiar situation for many artists: when a concept is rejected and the work shifts from creating to executing instructions, the author’s voice can be lost and the result risks feeling flat.

As a result, I focused on the concept artist role. Despite the shift, the visual solutions I developed became the foundation of the final show. The portfolio pieces present the original concept and the visual base the mapping was built on.
